In the event of water damage, it is essential to first contact your Non-Occupant Owner insurance (PNO). Under the I.R.S.I insurance agreement, the tenant's insurance policy will not apply in this situation. It is your insurer who will handle the opening of the file on behalf of the other insurance companies since this is a furnished rental. You will also be responsible for carrying out the repairs. Furthermore, there is no provision for relocation for tenants through the tenant's multi-risk home insurance (MRH).
